Now that I’ve finally gotten my hands on my own iphone I thought I would give some of my negative comments (there are certainly a lot of positive marketing so good points should be easy to find.)

Below is a list of things that are causing me issues.

• small keyboard (the horizontal keyboard is only for web browsing)
• memory full, sometimes nothing will work or just certain things like audio books and certain applications and eventually it will reboot
• Assisted GPS does not seem too accurate, at least not in Switzerland
• software is only available through the Apple AppStore or a developer signed certificate
• no way to group applications aside from drag/drop buttons, I’ve got 5 pages of software already
• enterprise emails, cannot make an invitation on Microsoft Exchange, only accept/reject/say maybe
• no wireless info like speed, channel,
• limited bluetooth compatibility
• no resend SMS capability
• few system specs in settings such as current memory use, current memory on device
• itunes syncing requires a long backup (though the backup can be cancelled)
• photo sync is separate from itunes sync
• if I have exchange calendar syncing activated I cannot also sync some of my icalenders
• the calendar does not graphically show multi-day events except as dots
• deleting emails fails when not connected online to email server
• option for SIM contact import but provider said no other SIM would work in iphone
• cannot filter email or resort it
• sometimes the email keyboard is painfully slow while the sms keyboard has always been snappy
• cannot send email from a different account... for example if I write it in one account I cannot move or send it from another
• cannot cut/copy and paste text
• updating applications takes as long or onger to simply install them
• the app store does not have a way to see new applications quickly, only new featured applications or go to each category
• app store update works sometimes and sometimes says apps are all updated when they are not
• it causes louder interference on my speaker system than my previous cell phone
• and wierdest of all, it interferes with my logitech mouse, if it is touching the mouse cable the mouse will start to move around the screen on its own. I do not know how close it has to be but if it gets the signal to send a mouse click there will be problems.

I do like that you can turn off all of the phone features (airplane mode) which is great if I want to let my kids look at it. Lots of other features can be deactivated to. Too bad we can’t load profiles... then I could have a work mode, fun mode, and kids mode with different features/applications activated for each
