Increasing virtual machine space in VMware fusion

Apparently this is not as easy as one would think. I have my virtual Windows XP running in VMware's Fusion software for MacOSX and I had picked a virtual drive size that was too small. There is apparently no easy way to simply enlarge the virtual drive.
Fortunately I also have Acronis's True Image Home software for making clones of your hard disk. I simply created a new virtual drive of the size I wanted and used True Image to clone the old drive to the new drive, True Image will automatically resize the cloned drive to the size of the destination. It went fast and smooth and I could simply delete the old virtual drive afterwards.
