Minecraft on the cloud

If you want to play minecraft on an external server, one way to do it is to use a cloud computer instance. I’ve used rackspace.com to host a small instance using 1GB RAM. It includes a daily and weekly system backup. Read More...

Windows black screen of death

Ever since my Windows Vista gave me a black screen of death I was at a loss of what to do with the information. This is the joyless state where the screen is black, you get a cursor and nothing else. It your last chance if you own one of those horrible older versions when Adobe first purchased Macromedia. Read More...

A shame that many of my iPhone applications need to be repurchased to take advantage of the larger screen but apparently that is a developer choice and most are choosing to make their customers pay. My unofficial review as follows. Read More...

Security Update 2010-001 causes iLife to crash

After dutifully applying the MacOSX Security Update 2010-001 in January, I noticed that most of my applications (including my iLife applications like iPhoto, iTunes, and others) would always crash at startup with kernel errors. Read More...
