Annoying Camtasia 6 bugs
22/12/09 Filed in: Camtasia
For the price Camtasia 6 Studio is a good webcast / podcast creation tool but it quickly becomes apparent that the Studio is a collection of add-ons to older versions, which makes for a confusing workflow and lots of extra time to make it do what I want. Version 7 is slated for release in Q2 2010 but Techsmith has not released any expected new features. Read More...

iPhone PPTP VPN on Swisscom 3g
15/01/09 Filed in: Apple
If anyone has tried making a PPTP connection from their iPhone while in Switzerland, the chances are it is not working. Apparently Swisscom has a problem routing the PPTP data over their 3G network (the fast network). Currently you have to use a wireless hotspot to be able to make a PPTP connection somewhere.
Swisscom does not say that the PPTP connections work fine on their older GSM network, though at that networks slower speed. So if you are on a Swisscom network and need PPTP VPN access to your home office or company network, turn off 3G before making the VPN connection.
