Camtasia 6 preset secrets

Camtasia 6 from TechSmith may be a nice tool to build webcasts but it still has many rough edges, especially for small changes and branding of the final webcast. One of my biggest problems was trying out different output options with their ExpressShow template. These production / output options are called presets and at different parts of the workflow, certain editing features is turned off and cannot be turned back on without making a new preset.
Unfortunately, remaking a preset is difficult since it involves many windows and linked graphic files. It is not possible to just copy and paste the presets either due to the editing bug. Fortunately, after asking on the TechSmith forums a workaround is possible to reactivate certain settings without rebuilding everything from scratch.
Start producing the video with the desired production preset and click next. Then click the back button and choose Custom Production Settings. Now all of the editing features are reactivated (such as viewer size, table of contents, or multiple files per heading). Just be sure that after producing to save this new preset under a new name.
